Early Detection Can Make All the Difference

Obtaining regular screenings for breast, cervical and colorectal cancer can detect risk factors early, increase treatment options and improve individuals’ prognoses. Public education has made more people aware of the benefits of these screenings, but obtaining them is not always easy. Policies that improve access to screenings or incentivize preventive care can improve public health and lower health care costs.
